NEWS AND EVENTS
Keeping busy during COVID
Bicycle Garden has been unable to run our regular programs due to COVID 19. Instead during shop times a small group of socially distancing volunteers have been working hard to fix up bikes for front line workers, refugees and asylum seekers, international students and anyone else who has found themselves in need due to the pandemic. We have seen increases in donations which is helping us to help those who reach out to us. Below are some pictures of essential workers receiving their bicycle garden bikes. To find out more about their stories check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BicycleGarden.

Goodooga Public School Bike and Garden Project
Volunteers from Bicycle Garden along with Connecting Communities Australia and Bikes 4 Life volunteers headed to a remote school in the small town of Goodooga 800km north west of Sydney, population 265.
They worked together with the local Aboriginal community to run a bike maintenance workshop for bikes donated by Bikes 4 Life for local kids, build a bike track, erect shade structures over the gardens and paint school buildings.
