Chain Lynx Pipeline Gravel Ride

PAST EVENT – MAY 2021

Chain Lynx is going gravel!

This social ride is for people who identify as woman, trans or gender diverse.

WHEN: Sunday 2 May at 9am

RIDE: Along the Pipeline Trail from Heathcote Station to Waterfall Station.

MEET: Heathcote train station at 9am. This is a three-quarter day affair.

WHAT BIKE: This route is mostly on nice gravel + some bitumen. A gravel, mountain or commuter bike with 34mm+ tyres is recommended. Gears obviously welcome.

GRADE: Medium. This route includes rolling hills and some hike-a-bike is required to get to the beginning of the trail. There is also a short and safe highway section at the very end.

The killer is the heat when the sun is in full swing. Therefore bring sufficient water, lunch and hat. There are swimming spots along the way, which may require some post-swim walking up a big hill… We can decide on the day.

We will be riding and enjoying our time on Dharawal Country. Sovereignty was never ceded.

*The goal of Chain Lynx is to address the barriers that many women, trans and gender diverse people face when accessing the bicycle world. We aim to create a safe space for learning, socialising, and empowering.
