Chain Lynx – Autumn Skills Series

Chain Lynx is a monthly workshop night for all trans, femme, non binary, gender queer, or female identifying people to come and work on their bikes or volunteer time to help others.

We’ve decided to get some skilled workshops going covering basic topics we gets asked about all the time.

Register for each night as there will be limited attendance.

The first hour from 6-7pm will be regular Chain Lynx workshop should people still need to work on their own bikes.

Chain Lynx is a project night of Bicycle Garden, a non profit bicycle education group, run entirely off volunteers and donations. Suggested donation for the workshops are $5-10 sliding scale but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds with the option to volunteer time at our workshops. Please register for the workshops through Eventbrite, normal Chain Lynx attendance is available for the start of the evening.

April 10th – “Pump up & Tune Up” fixing a flat, patching, tire pressure as well as general maintenance & cleaning

May 8th – “STOP! Fix your brakes” a quickstart to fixing and adjusting your brakes

June 12th – “Goldilocks & Getting bike fit and accessories juuuust right” Does your bike hurt to ride? Is it the right size? Commute by bike and need to figure out how to carry stuff? Practical options and ideas to help you get comfortable.

July 10th – “Get into Gear” Learn the basics of adjusting your gears and take back control

Things to bring:

Your own bike if you have one- we encourage you to ride to the event (racks to lock to outside)

Wear closed toe shoes and clothes you dont mind getting a bit greasy (we will try to have aprons available)

A spare cloth or old shirt to use as a rag or cleaning cloth

Reusable mug or bottle for tea or water

A positive attitude!
